The defect

Due to a software error, the traction motor inverter may function incorrectly and the inverter system may shut down.

The hazard

If the defect occurs, under certain conditions when driving in EV mode only (petrol engine off), power to the motor may be cut, posing an accident hazard to the driver and other road users.
