Free VIN recall check

Enter your 17-character VIN below. We'll match it against every recall CSV published by the Australian government.

Important: Not every recall publishes a full VIN list, and our database may be a short delay behind the official source. A “no match” result does not guarantee your vehicle is unaffected. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer. Read our full disclaimer.

Where to find your VIN

Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique 17-character code that identifies your specific vehicle. You'll find it:

  • On the driver's side dashboard, visible through the windshield
  • Inside the driver's side door jamb
  • On your vehicle registration papers
  • On your insurance policy

What we check

We match your VIN against every affected-VIN list published on vehiclerecalls.gov.au. VINs cannot contain the letters I, O, or Q.
