The defect
Low battery at engine startup combined with parking while the wheels are turned, can cause a miscalculation in the steering ratio, which may lead to a lack of steering responsiveness and change in turning radius.

The hazard
An unexpected increase in turning radius may pose an accident hazard.
The remedy
Owner Notification Letters will be sent to all owners of affected vehicles at their last known address, advising customers to make contact with their nearest Infiniti Retail/Service Centre to have the Direct Active Steering ECU reprogrammed.
