Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

The hazard

If the brake fluid leaks, an ABS warning lamp will illuminate to alert the driver. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this condition, the brake fluid leak may create an electrical short in the actuator circuit, which in rare cases could potentially lead to a fire.

The remedy

Affected consumers will be contacted by Nissan Australia for a free vehicle inspection. If necessary, ABS actuator replacements (parts and labour) will be carried out at no cost to consumers.Consumers can find their local Nissan dealer online at www.nissan.com.au/find-a-dealerFor further information, consumers can contact the Nissan Customer Service Centre (toll free) on 1800 035 035 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 6pm AEST)
