The defect

Due to a software issue with the Engine Control Module (ECM), the vehicle may release air pollutants that exceed the standards set in Australian Design Rule (ADR) 80/03.

The hazard

There is no safety hazard and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.Vehicles may not be compliant with the ADR 80/03 - Emission Control for Heavy Vehicles.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership and to arrange an appointment to have the ECU reprogrammed, free of charge.
