The defect

A soot sensor component may not have been installed as intended. As a result, the vehicle may release air pollutants that exceed the standards set in Australian Design Rule (ADR) 80/03.

The hazard

There is no safety hazard and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.Vehicles are not compliant with the ADR 80/03 - Emission Control for Heavy Vehicles.

The remedy

Owners are asked to contact an Authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership who will inspect the soot sensor and if required, re-program or replace it, free of charge.
