The defect

Due to incorrect installation, the power distribution box wiring harness may contact and chafe against the air conditioner control unit. This may lead to an electrical short circuit and result in a vehicle fire.

A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.

The remedy

Owners are asked to contact an Authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership who will undertake the repair work, free of charge.
