The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the high voltage coolant heater (HVCH) may not operate as intended. If this occurs, the vehicle occupant may not be able to defrost the windscreen and may lead to poor visibility for the driver.

The hazard

Poor visibility will potentially increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.The vehicle is not compliant with Australian Design Rule (ADR 42/05)-Demisting of Windscreen

The remedy

Owners should contact their preferred Jaguar Land Rover authorised dealer to have their high voltage coolant heater replaced, free of charge.
