The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear-view camera wiring harness may become damaged and could cause the rear-view image to become distorted or flicker.

The hazard

If the rear-view camera display does not clearly display the rear-view image as intended, it could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to any persons located behind the vehicle.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mazda in writing requesting them make an appointment at their preferred Mazda Authorised Dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
