The defect
The plastic horn pad logo may become brittle and fracture during an airbag deployment.

The hazard
In the event of an airbag deployment, the plastic fragments of the shattered logo may propel into the vehicle and hit vehicle occupants, causing serious injury.
The remedy
Mazda Australia will contact all affected customers to advise them to present their vehicle to their preferred Mazda Dealer for replacement of the horn cover at no charge.
