The defect

Some customers have reported the inability to secure the door in the closed position, either on the primary or secondary latch. In addition, there have been reports that one of the doors has opened whilst the vehicle was in motion.

The hazard

Vehicle doors not securely latched in the closed condition may open. This can increase the risk of a vehicle crash or compromise the safety of the occupants.

The remedy

Owners will be notified by letter and instructed to take their vehicle to a Land Rover dealer who will install the latest level software.
