The defect

The brake line may chafe against the Body Control Module (BCM) which may lead to a hole in the brake line overtime. If this occurs it could lead to a brake fluid leak resulting in reduced rear braking performance.

The hazard

A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Harley-Davidson asking them to schedule an appointment to have a new BCM Caddy installed on their motorcycle, free of charge.
