The defect

On vehicles fitted with these kits, the Body Control Module (BCM) has a case that may not be sealed sufficiently to prevent water intrusion. Water intrusion of the BCM may lead to an engine stall.

The hazard

An engine stall while in traffic or during certain maneuvers could result in loss of control and a serious accident.

The remedy

Harley-Davidson will write to owners of affected vehicles.Owners are advised to contact their authorised Harley-Davidson Dealer to have the Body Control Module (BCM) replaced.
