The defect

Due to a software issue, if the driver does not have their hands on the steering wheel for an extended period, the brake jolt triggered by the Emergency Assist (EA) or Travel Assist (TA) assistance functions meant to alert the driver may be misinterpreted as the driver braking. As a result, the Emergency Assist (EA) or Travel Assist (TA) assistance functions are deactivated.Note: The instrument cluster may fail to illuminate the visual and audible warnings that the safety functions are deactivated.
