The defect

Bolts may not have been installed on the longitudinal adjustment mechanism of the driver seat.

The hazard

A missing bolt may reduce the seat's restraint capability in the event of an accident, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. In the event of a serious accident, this may result in death.

The remedy
