The defect

Due to a programming issue, the Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) LED units (high beam) and AHS ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) may incorrectly detect the signals for switching from low beam to high beam. If this occurs, a warning message will display and render the high beam inoperative.

The hazard

Vehicles are not compliant with ADR 13/00 - Installation of Lighting and Light Signalling Devices on other than L-Group Vehicles.

The remedy
