Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the ignition coil high tension cord may become damaged over time. If exposed to water ingress it could cause the vehicle speed sensor and the throttle position sensor to fail. As a result, the rider may be unable to restart the engine or the speedometer may not display as intended.

The hazard

If the rider is unable to restart the engine or the speedometer does not display as intended, the rider will be unable to correctly determine the operating speed. These faults may increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the rider, passenger or other road users.

The remedy

Suzuki Australia will contact affected owners in writing, requesting that owners make an appointment at their preferred Suzuki dealership to arrange to have the recall carried out, free of charge.
