The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering shaft nut may not be tightened to specifications. This may cause the steering wheel to become loose resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

The hazard

A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Suzuki Auto QLD to schedule an appointment with their nearest Suzuki dealer to have the Steering Shaft Nut checked & re-torqued, free of charge.
