The defect

Due to improper assembly of an oil seal in the automatic transmission, fluid may leak from the transmission which could result in a loss of drive.

A loss of drive while in use could increase the risk of an accident and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. In the case of a serious accident this may result in death.
