The defect

There have been reports of breakage of the steering damper clamp on 3 vehicles in other markets.

The hazard

Failure of the steering damper clamp may cause reduced handling ability, resulting in a crash that could cause severe injury.

The remedy

Consumers should cease using the affected vehicles and arrange for replacement of the faulty component by taking note of the VIN number and contacting an authorised KTM dealer. For enquiries contact KTM Australia service centre 08 93516666.
