The defect

On certain vehicles, the joint between the fuel filler neck and the fuel tank may not be adequately sealed, possibly resulting in a fuel leak.

Fuel leakage may pose an accident or injury risk to other road users. If fuel comes into contact with hot exhaust parts, there is a fire risk.
