Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Vehicles are equipped with run-flat tyres with a sidewall reinforcement layer inside the tyre. Due to an improper assembly process, a crack may develop on the tyre sidewall reinforcement layer, expanding over time and potentially affecting the tyre deflection causing the temperature of the tyre to increase.

The hazard

Under certain driving conditions, such as highway driving with low tyre pressure, portions of the tyre tread layer could separate, causing a reduction of vehicle stability and increasing the risk of an accident.

The remedy

Lexus will arrange alternative transport for the owner. This rectification will be carried out free of charge.Consumers can find their local Lexus dealership via the website at https://www.lexus.com.au/contact/find-a-dealerFor further information, consumers can contact their Lexus Dealer or the Lexus Customer Assistance Centre on 1800 023 009 (Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm (AEDT)).
