The defect
In affected vehicles the electrical lines of the jump-start socket may have been connected incorrectly. When a further vehicle is connected for the purpose of starting assistance, an incorrect jump start socket may result in a short circuit and the electrical lines and jump-start socket may be overloaded.

The hazard
If the jump-start socket is in use when overloaded it can cause irreparable damage to the electrical system of the affected vehicle.
The remedy
Owners are requested to make contact with an authorised Daimler Truck & Bus Dealership to make arrangements to have the remedy work carried out free of charge.
