The defect

The wall thickness of the seat mounting bracket on the affected vehicles is insufficient and a mechanical failure of the mounting bracket may occur.

The integrated seat belt may not be able to fully function.

The remedy

Letters will be sent to all known owners, who will be requested to arrange an appointment at any authorised Mercedes-Benz Unimog dealership to have the fault rectified at no cost.
