The defect

A fault in the manufacturing process for the rear hub carriers has caused a discrepancy in the material hardness. As the durability of the affected hub carriers cannot be assured, there is a possibility that the bolted connections may become detached or the component may fail.

If the bolted connections become detached or the component fails, the driver could lose control, posing an accident risk to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy
