Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the driver and/or front passenger seat belt pre-tensioners may not operate as intended resulting in increased seat belt slack and reduced occupant restraint performance.

The hazard

In the event of an accident, if the seat belt pre-tensioner does not operate as intended the occupant may not receive the full protection of the seatbelt system. This could increase the risk of injury or, in the case of a serious accident increase the risk of death to vehicle occupants.

The remedy

Once the necessary parts become available to address the issue, Audi Australia will contact customers and request that they schedule an appointment with their nearest authorised Audi dealer.
