The defect

The internal component of a non-compliant electrical relay might disrupt the starter control, damaging the relay by overheating.

If the product relay overheats it may cause a fire.

The remedy

Owners will be contacted by direct mail, advising them to arrange an appointment with an authorised Peugeot dealer to have the starter control relay checked and if necessary, replaced at no cost.
