The defect
Vehicles repaired or serviced between 3 December and 5 December 2016 may have had incorrect software uploaded. The upload may affect various control units and affect numerous systems, including vehicle emissions and airbag deployment.

The hazard
If the airbag deployment is affected, there can be increased risk of injury to vehicle occupants during an accident.
The remedy
Owners will be contacted by direct mail. Owners should contact their nearest Mercedes-Benz dealership to make an appointment for the software to be upgraded.
