The defect

The electrical wiring harness for the front windshield wiper motor has not been routed correctly. Due to the movement of the windshield wiper linkage the electrical wiring harness may become damaged. As a consequence, the wiper motor may fail.

The hazard

If the wipers fail, visibility would be impaired for the driver. In the event of adverse weather conditions this could increase the risk of an accident.

The remedy
