The defect

The front seatbelts may have been incorrectly fitted during production. This may affect the locking behaviour of the belt and result in incorrect operation of the seatbelt pre tensioning system.

The hazard

If the defect occurs, the seatbelt may not restrain the occupant to the full capacity during an accident, increasing the risk of injury.

The remedy

Letters will be sent to owners of affected vehicles.
