The defect
After the Adaptive Cruise Control has been overriden, the vehicle may experience unintended and continued acceleration.

The hazard
If the defect occurs, it may may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop or slow the vehicle. This poses an accident hazard to the driver and other road users.
The remedy
Chrysler Jeep will notify affected vehicle owners by letter. Customers will be able to take their vehicle to a Jeep dealership and recieve a software update. These repairs will be carried out free of charge.
