The defect

A number of clamp sleeves for the draglink of the first axle have been found to break during fitting. This failure has been caused by excessive torquing of the nuts.

The hazard

If the clamp sleeve breaks, the preload of the draglink ball joint is lost and it can move. This may pose a hazard to the driver and other road users.
