The defect

The fuel tank fuel outlet mounting flange may crack. If this occurs, the driver will most likely see an amber malfunction indicator lamp on the instrument cluster.

The hazard

The driver may smell fuel and in some instances with the vehicle stationary, there could be liquid fuel underneath the vehicle, which in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire.

The remedy

A letter will be sent to affected owners.Owners are advised to contact their authorised Jaguar dealership to have the fuel outlet mounting flange replaced.
