The defect

The installation of the under floor fuel pipe assembly has insufficient clearance between the under floor fuel pipes and the vehicle under shield and body, leading to a chafe condition.

The hazard

This may cause a fuel smell inside the vehicle. When the vehicle is parked the owner may notice a pooling of fuel underneath the vehicle, which in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted directly and advised to contact their nearest Jaguar Land Rover dealership for an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
