The defect

Audi AG, having learned that on their QF Model vehicles manufactured within a defined period there is the possibility that, in the event of an accident resulting in the deployment of the curtain airbags, the A-pillar trim comes loose.

The hazard

The trim would then move into the passenger compartment, thereby possibly creating an injury risk to the front passengers.

The remedy

Audi Australia Pty Ltd will write to owners of all affected vehicles.
