The defect

The tyre placard label installed to Australian specification 2.1 ltre X-type vehicles shows an incorrect tyre size of 255/40ZR18 instead of the correct tyre size of 225/40ZR18. A change of tyre in December 2003 from 205/50R17 to 225/45R17 was also not included within the tyre placard label.

The remedy

Contact your local Jaguar dealer. The affected vehicles will have the tyre label replaced to a correct version, at no cost to the owner.
