The defect

The circuit board for the crank position sensors may have an improper solder joint due to solder deformation caused by heat stress accelerated by the existence of flux residue during the soldering process. This could cause the 'service engine soon' warning to appear.

Letters will be sent to all owners. For further information contact your authorised Nissan Dealer. Please note the recall will commence at the end of November. Nissan recommends owners drive vehicles with caution until rectified.
