The defect

Suzuki Motor Corporation has advised that the muffler body may have crack and broken away from the exhaust pipe due to incorrect construction.

The hazard

If exhaust is cracked, and it continues to be ridden, the crack may grow. In the worst case scenario exhaust gas will leak from the pipe and the exhaust noise will increase.

The remedy

Consumers should take the unit to an authorised Suzuki dealer to have the machine inspected and the counter measure parts fitted.
