The defect

Side airbags, curtain airbags and seatbelt pretensioner may be inadvertently deployed when the rear door is slammed shut. This is due to incorrect software in the airbag controller (SDM).

The hazard

There is a risk of injury to vehicle occupants by airbag deployment.

The remedy
