The defect

A power relay may overheat, resulting in a relay failure.

The hazard

If the power relay fails it may cause the engine to stall during driving, fail to restart or failsafe may be activated, resulting in a loss of engine power. This may pose an accident risk to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Peugeot Citroen Australia (PCA) will contact all known owners by direct mail and advise them to present their vehicle to their preferred authorised Peugeot dealer to have the affected power relay replaced.
