The defect

In specific vehicles the windscreen wiper motor venting device may be non-compliant. This may allow water to enter the wiper motor, creating internal corrosion and locking up the motor.

The hazard

If the front windscreen wiper motor fails, the driver's visibility in wet weather would be affected, possibly causing an accident.

The remedy
