The defect

The outer section of the front grille air deflectors could detach partially or entirely from the inner section of vehicle. Clips could slowly detach due to the wind loads that arise during operation.

The hazard

The clips of the front grille air deflectors clips may break and in the worst case, the outer section could completely detach from the vehicle increasing the risk of injury or an accident.

The remedy

Owners are requested to contact an Authorised Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealership, to arrange a time to install a new deflector on both sides of potentially affected vehicles as a precautionary measure.A complete list of Authorised Dealerships can be found at www.mercedes-benz.com.au/trucks.
