The defect

An error occurred in the moulding process of the fuel tank. There may be a fuel leakage at the lower fitting insert for the fuel tank fairing in the seat area.

The hazard

Should a fuel leak occur, escaping fuel could cause damage or may result in fire.

The remedy

Consumers will be contacted by direct mail, notifying them of the recall and requesting that an appointment be made with their local authorised KTM Australia dealer.Authorised dealers will complete an inspection of the tank production information.
