Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

In certain Isuzu NQR series vehicles, the bolts associated with the rear left side wheel bearing nut (the rear wheel bearing hub locking bolts) may not have been properly torqued during assembly.

The hazard

If either of the bolts become loose or fall out, the lock washer may loosen. If the lock washer becomes excessively loose, the bearing nut can separate and the wheel can move away from the axle housing while the vehicle is in motion. If the wheel assembly moves outward from the axle housing, the vehicle may be more difficult to control. Braking performance can be reduced as a consequence, increasing the risk of accident.

The remedy

Isuzu Australia Limited will write to known owners and requests that owners contact their dealer as soon as possible to discuss the requirements and to schedule the rectification. Work will be carried out free of charge.Further information is available from your dealer or from Isuzu Australia Customer Care by phoning 1800 035 640.
