The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the power steering pump O-ring seal may have been damaged allowing fluid to leak. If this occurs, it could lead to increased steering effort resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

The hazard

A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Isuzu in writing asking them to schedule an appointment with their authorized Isuzu Dealer to have the recall carried out, free of charge.
