The defect

The bellows of the flexible tube (installed between the engine and diesel particulate diffuser filter) may rub on the outer section of the exhaust flex pipe by resonant vibration of the engine. As a result a wear hole may be made by this interference and cause an exhaust gas leak.

The hazard

If harmful unfiltered exhaust gasses leak, the vehicle may not meet the required emissions standards and may affect the health of the vehicle occupants or people close by.

The remedy

Owners should contact their nearest Isuzu Truck dealer to arrange for the Exhaust Flex Pipe component to be replaced.For further information, contact the nearest Isuzu Truck Dealer or call the Customer Care Centre on1800 035 640.
