The defect

On certain motorcycles, there may be insufficient clearance between the fuel rail and the engine. This can result in abrasion of the fuel rail.

The hazard

If an abrasion of the fuel rail occurs it could cause a fuel leak, posing a fire risk.

The remedy

Consumers will be contacted by direct mail. Consumers should contact their authorised Indian Motorcycle dealer to arrange and inspection and repair of the motorcycle.For further information consumers should contact their local Indian Motorcycle dealer. For assistance finding an Indian Motorcycle dealer consumers should visit www.indianmotorcycle.com.au or call the Indian Motorcycle Consumer Service Department on 03 9394 5610. Consumers should also contact their local Indian Motorcycle dealer if they no longer own an affected motorcycle.
