The defect

The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) may not have been secured properly into the casing of the Airbag Control Module, also known as the Sensing & Diagnostics Module (SDM).

The hazard

In certain conditions, the defect may result in slightly delayed deployment of the side thorax and side curtain airbags. There is also potential for unintended airbag deployment to occur. These hazards may pose a risk of increased injury to a vehicle occupant.

The remedy

Holden will write to all affected customers to notify them of required action.
