The defect

The seat cushion frame may not be to specification. Failure of one or more of these welds may cause:- Noise between separated components- Displacement/Deformation of the seat cushion frame- Incomplete/Irregular motion of the seat during adjustment

Risk of occupant injury due to sharp edges and potential degradation of occupant safety during an incident.

The remedy

Ford will write to owners of all affected vehicles. Owners are advised to contact their Ford authorised Dealership for inspection and rectification.For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford's Customer Relationship Centre on 1800 503 672.
