The defect
An intensive off-road use of the motorcycle could result in a breakage of the lower eyelet of the rear shock absorber, causing the rear shock to become loose from its mounting point.

The hazard
This will compromise the handling ability of the motorcycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.
The remedy
Owners will be contacted by direct mail. Owners should contact their nearest authorised Ducati dealer or service agent to arrange for the replacement of the non-conforming rear shock absorber with a more robust absorber.
